Afritel was incorporated in the year 2002. It was appointed as a nationwide distributor by Zain Tanzania Limited to distribute its telecommunications products throughout Tanzania. Afritel is also a Service Provider for technology solutions to networks and corporate houses. In addition they provide Mobile Value Added Services (MVAS) entertainment solutions to the end users of mobile phones Have contracts with the major networks to provide these products.
